Certification Accredition By A2LA

Equipment Services Group, llc. selected the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to cover our calibration accreditation because A2LA is the largest independent, 501(c)3 non-profit, providing us with significant international recognition for our company.  This permits us to work in all 50 US states and more than 50 countries.  Our primary services fall under  ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. Equipment Services Group, llc. efforts in providing excellence in accuracy and quality for every customer is driven by our ethics, but our report card is measured by A2LA. If you would like to talk to us about our perfect audit history and how we maintain this service excellence, then make your request known here.

Traceable to National Institute of Standard

Our equipment is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), operated by the U.S. Department of Commerce. NIST is the nation’s oldest physical science laboratory. Its mission is to provide advanced measurement science, standards, and technology. This means that all our equipment calibrations are referenced to a physical or electrical referencing standard held by the U.S Department of Commerce that has been controlled and known since 1901.   If you would like to know more about NIST, click here.

Equipment Services Group IIc, Calibration Certification Scope of Work

We are fully accredited to verify and calibrate all environmental test chambers. Below and attached is a complete list of all the equipment used in measuring Acoustic and vibration, DC and Low-Frequency Electrical Voltage, Thermocouple Simulation for temperature conditions, and Relative Humidity.

If you click on the “Organization/Acceditation Information” graphics it will take you to our official certificate at A2LA. The official A2LA document of our scope of work is also attached.

The Right Equipment For Measurements

We use the 743B Documenting Process Calibrators as our primary calibrator. This hand-held instrument measures and sources electrical and physical parameters.  Our 743B includes the TSLE for thermal couples and PRT for Platinum Resistance Thermometers.

This calibrator lets us troubleshoot, calibrate, verify, and document the work performed and validates the results.

The Right Pressure Transducer For Measurements

We use the Fluke 700PD7 Dual Pressure Module for all our pressure measurements between -15 and 200 psi.  This Dual Pressure Module is directly attached to the Fluke 754B Calibrator to measure the results.

Calibration Certification:  Stipulations

1This laboratory offers commercial calibration service and field calibration service.

2Calibration and Measurement Capability (CMC) is the smallest uncertainty of measurement that a laboratory can achieve within its scope of accreditation when performing more or less routine calibrations of nearly ideal measurement standards or nearly ideal measuring equipment. Calibration and Measurement Capabilities represent expanded uncertainties expressed at approximately the 95 % level of confidence, usually using a coverage factor of k = 2. The actual measurement uncertainty of a specific calibration performed by the laboratory may be greater than the CMC due to the behavior of the customer’s device and to influences from the circumstances of the specific calibration.

3Field calibration service is available for this calibration and this laboratory meets A2LA
R104 – General Requirements: Accreditation of Field Testing and Field Calibration Laboratories for these calibrations.
Please note the actual measurement uncertainties achievable on a customer’s site can normally be expected to be larger than the CMC found on the A2LA Scope. Allowance must be made for aspects such as the environment at the place of calibration and for other possible adverse effects such as those caused by transportation of the calibration equipment.
The usual allowance for the actual uncertainty introduced by the item being calibrated, (e.g. resolution) must also be considered and this, on its own, could result in the actual measurement uncertainty achievable on a customer’s site being larger than the CMC.

4The measurands stated are generated with the Fluke 743B instruments. This capability is suitable for the calibration of the devices intended to measure the stated measurand in the ranges indicated. CMC’s are expressed as either a specific value that covers the full range or as a fraction/percentage of the reading plus a fixed floor specification.
