Equipment Services Group, LLC. (ESGCal), provides International Calibration Services and is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to cover our scope of work. A2LA is the most prominent worldwide independent, internationally recognized accreditation body.  ESGCal’s scope of work and accreditations permits us to work in all 50 states of the USA and more than 50 countries.  Our primary services fall under  ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. ESGCal provides international calibration of Environmental chambers, walk-ins, drive-ins, and other conditioned environments in the Automotive, pharmaceutical, military, commercial, and industrial laboratories.  We are driven to provide excellence in accuracy and quality for every customer serviced. The ethics and A2LA accreditations tell the story of our performance. If you would like to talk to us about our perfect audit history and how we maintain this service excellence, then make your request to contact us.

Traceable to National Institute of Standard

All our equipment is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), operated by the U.S. Department of Commerce. NIST is the nation’s oldest physical science laboratory; in addition, Its mission is to provide advanced measurement science, standards, and technology. This means that all our equipment calibrations are referenced to a physical or electrical referencing standard held by the U.S Department of Commerce that has been controlled and known since 1901.   If you would like to learn more about NIST, click here.

Equipment Serviced

ESGCal is fully accredited to verify and calibrate all environmental test chambers, Walk-ins, Drive-ins, Freezers, Corrosion Cabinets, Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) & Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), Advisory Group on Reliability of Electronic Equipment (AGREE) Vibration chambers, Pharmaceutical Life Science & Stability Equipment, Altitude & Space Simulation Test Chambers, and Conditioned Environments.  All these Environmental Chambers can be calibrated and Adjusted for Temperature, humidity, and Pressure (Altitude).

Certification Scope Of Work

Below is a complete list of all the equipment used in measuring DC and Low-Frequency Electrical Voltage, Thermocouple Simulation for temperature conditions, and Relative Humidity. Clicking on the “Organization/Accreditation Information” graphics below will take you to our official certificate at A2LA. The official A2LA document describing our scope of work is also attached.

The Right Equipment For Measurements

We use the 743B Documenting Process Calibrators as our primary calibrator. This hand-held instrument measures and sources electrical and physical parameters.  Our 743B includes the TSLE for thermal couples and PRT for Platinum Resistance Thermometers.

This calibrator lets us troubleshoot, calibrate, verify, and document the work performed and validates the results.

ESGCal Calibration Certification:  Stipulations

1 Our laboratory offers commercial calibration service and field calibration services.

Measurement Uncertainty

2Calibration and Measurement Capability (CMC) is the smallest uncertainty of measurement that a laboratory can achieve within its scope of accreditation when performing more or less routine calibrations of nearly ideal measurement standards or nearly ideal measuring equipment. Calibration and Measurement Capabilities represent expanded uncertainties expressed at approximately the 95 % level of confidence, usually using a coverage factor of k = 2.

The actual measurement uncertainty of a specific calibration performed by the laboratory may be greater than the CMC due to the behavior of the customer’s device and to influences from the circumstances of the specific calibration.

Field Calibration Uncertainty

3Field calibration service is available for this calibration, and this laboratory meets A2LA
R104 – General Requirements: Accreditation of Field Testing and Field Calibration Laboratories for these calibrations.
Please note the actual measurement uncertainties achievable on a customer’s site can normally be expected to be larger than the CMC found on the A2LA Scope. Allowance must be made for aspects such as the environment at the place of calibration and for other possible adverse effects, such as those caused by the transportation of the calibration equipment.

The usual allowance for the actual uncertainty introduced by the item being calibrated (e.g. resolution) must also be considered, and this, on its own, could result in the actual measurement uncertainty achievable on a customer’s site being larger than the CMC.

ESGCal Equipment

4The measurements stated are generated with the Fluke 743B instruments. This capability is suitable for the calibration of the devices intended to measure the stated measurements in the ranges indicated. CMC’s are expressed as either a specific value that covers the full range or as a fraction/percentage of the reading plus a fixed floor specification.
